Summer Camp at Joyride 150 focuses on improving children’s fundamental skills, balance, coordination and style. We also pride ourselves on teaching riders the correct etiquette in the park and basic bike maintenance. We offer children the opportunity to turn a hobby into a sport that can develop into a lifelong passion.

Please keep in mind that the age camp levels are to be used as a guideline. A rider’s present skill level is the most important determining factor in selecting the appropriate level of camp. All campers are assessed on the first morning of camp to ensure that they are in the best level of camp for their maximum enjoyment and learning experience. AND PLEASE NOTE, JOYRIDER 1 CAMP IS NOT FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVEN’T LEARNED TO RIDE A BIKE YET OR USE TRAINING WHEELS.

An introductory program geared towards riders 5-8 years of age with and emphasis on having fun, becoming a stronger and more confident bike rider and learning how to ride the park safely. We expect all riders to be comfortable pedaling on 2 wheels, turning and braking on their own prior to camp.

Children will be taught the proper position on a bike, how to brake properly and the correct stance to master new skills at the park. Instruction will be supplemented with organized riding activities and games which will increase the campers’ bike handling skills and confidence.

An intermediate program geared towards riders 8-13 years of age that combines instruction and practice sessions. Campers will refine their bike skills while being taught to safely intoduce more advanced skills and tricks. Organized activities will also increase their bike handling skills which will lead to greater self-confidence. Campers will learn basic bike maintenance, park riding etiquette as well as skills and tricks such as proper jumping, drop ins, fly outs, wheelies and bunny hops.

An advanced program for ages 10-14 that aims to improve and enhance existing riding skills. Campers will learn intermediate tricks (larger drop ins, jump lines, spines, transfers, quarter pipe, etc) and intermediate tricks (no footers/handers, bunny hop 180/360, foot jams, no footed can-cans, tables, turndowns, etc). We offer children the opportunity to turn a hobby into a sport they’ll have a lifelong passion for.
