Joyride 150 summer camps focus on improving fundamental riding skills, balance, coordination and style. As avid cyclists, we pride ourselves on teaching riders the correct bicycle etiquette in all situations.
Our camps can turn the hobby of cycling into a lifelong passion.
An introductory program geared towards riders 5-8* years of age. Joyrider 1 focuses on helping riders become stronger and more confident on a bike.
Children will be taught the proper position on a bike, how to brake properly and the correct stance to master new skills at the park. Instruction will be supplemented with organized riding activities and games which will increase the campers’ bike handling skills and confidence.
(Limited to 10 riders)
PLEASE NOTE: JOYRIDER 1 CAMP IS NOT FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVEN’T LEARNED TO RIDE A BIKE YET OR USE TRAINING WHEELS.
An intermediate program geared towards riders 8-13* years of age that combines instruction and practice sessions.
Campers will refine their bike skills while being learning how to safely advance to more difficult tricks and maneuvers.
Riders will learn basic bike maintenance, park riding etiquette as well as skills and tricks such as proper jumping, drop-ins, flyouts, wheelies and bunny hops.
(Limited to 18 riders)
An advanced program for ages 10-14* that aims to improve and enhance existing riding skills.
Campers will learn intermediate tricks (larger drop-ins, jump lines, spines, transfers, quarter pipe, etc) and intermediate tricks (no footers/handers, bunny hop 180/360, foot jams, no footed can-cans, tables, turndowns, etc).
(Limited to 18 riders)
*The recommended ages for each camp are guidelines. A rider’s skill level on the first day of camp is the most important determining factor in selecting the appropriate level of camp.
All campers are assessed on the first morning of camp to ensure that they are placed in the best level of camp for their maximum enjoyment and learning experience.
Riders are required to have a helmet, elbow, and knee pads to participate in Joyride 150 Summer Camp.
We value the safety of our riders and staff at Joyride 150 and all of our camp programs will follow the Ontario Ministry of Health Safety Guidelines for Day Camps. We will keep our campers and their parents up to date on how any changing regulations impact our camp offerings for the summer of 2023.
